Greetings Degens, I have not fully recovered from watching the price action of Tombstoned High Society, it was so great that the market took 2 days to give us another opportunity. Let’s take a look at Stoned Shiba Club.
Well, who are they you may ask?
As per my understanding, I see them as a community-driven project with great art that has some decent plans for the holders in the coming future.
Before going forward allow me to share the mint related information with you:
Supply: Phase 1–2780 | Phase 2–1000 | Phase 3(Public)-420 (min.) and the leftover from Phase 1 | Phase 4- leftover from Phase 2
Cost: 2 Sol (Phase 1, Phase 3, Phase 4) | Phase 2 will be minted by using tokens like ($DUST, $PUFF, $CRECK, $IMBA, etc. Details of how units of such coins will be needed have been attached below.)
Time: 4–8 pm UTC (Phase 1) | 7:30–8 pm UTC (Phase 2) | 10 pm UTC (Phase3) | 10:30 pm UTC (Phase 4)
So many details about their mint information, one thing is sure, these guys have planned a lot of things.
Let’s move to the “why would I mint this ?” part
- Roadmap: I have read their roadmap, there is no surprise element in there but as I said before this is going to be a community-driven project where the community will determine how strong the floor would be in the secondary marketplace. And, to make sure the community will be engaged in the project they have a lot of things planned. The first thing that will start right after the mint is going to be staking. They have their utility token $SMOKE (supply — 210,000,000) in place. Each NFT will yield 10 $SMOKE each day (which will move to 20 as time passes) from the day of mint. Now, where will this token will get used? The first use of this will be the Gen2 mint in Phase 2. After the mint of Gen2, they will also get an opportunity to get staked, each NFT of Gen2 will yield 5 $SMOKE each day. Apart from that, you will get an opportunity to earn $SMOKE with the help of your rug NFTs which you will be able to burn in as they have said “STONED RUG CLEANER”. After the Gen2 mint, you will be able to breed a baby Shiba with the help of 1 of each Gen1 and Gen2 NFT and the baby will again get staked and will yield 5 $SMOKE per day, all this comes in Phase 3. Now, comes the most interesting part Phase 4 where you will mint Serum. The idea is the same as the one BAYC used to turn their Apes into Mutants. So, here there will be 2 types of Serum that will be minted with the help of $SMOKE which in turn will mutate your Shiba.
- Team: I find the team quite interesting. First of all the art, they have managed to create for the project is speaking for itself. Secondly, they have been successful in building a great community around the project. They opened their discord on 24th February and since then they have been really active in the space and managed to bring a lot of great projects onboard. Thirdly, the way they have planned their roadmap 1.0 (yes they have mentioned that there will be a Roadmap 2.0 as well), is quite commendable. They have done nothing fancy or something that has never been seen before, but the way they sequenced it is what makes me like it. Last but not the least, they have attached some great utility to their token as well which many projects fail to create. Apart from all the breeding and mutating they have mentioned a part in their roadmap that they will conduct auctions of blue-chip NFTs which will be done in $SMOKE and they have shown that they already have 1000 $SOL worth of such NFTs in their vault.
- Art: As I mentioned before, I really like their art right from their website to their NFT. It looks fresh and it kinda reminds me of the old Solana days. Adding to this they have the advantage of the recent demand being attracted towards great pfp worthy NFTs and they will give the users the opportunity to mutate these cute-looking shibas into something more mutant-like.
- Hype: This is one of the most talked-about projects of this month. The engagement of their Twitter and Discord is really great with them getting an average of 400+ reactions on every announcement. Apart from their own hard work, they will get some help from the market as well, as I mentioned earlier the market is really kind to good looking NFTs lately and 1 evidence of this fact is that their tokens are getting sold for 3 Sols as I write this in the secondary market.
With all these good things there are some things to care about as well:
- The whole project is based on how strong of a community it can create. They have done a lot of great things and they have planned a lot of good things as well, but the community is the one that will make all these things look bullish.
- One thing I am surprised to see is that they have great engagement on their socials, we also have around 25 common followers on Twitter but their Twitter isn’t very active in terms of collaborations or some sol influencers talking about them or mentioning them.
- One more thing that concerns me is that they have been in the space for 40 days altogether but they have only shared 5 sneap peaks of their art in their discord. What I mean to say is that with this good engagement and this good planning of a roadmap the number seems quite low.
To conclude, I would say that they are looking like a good project but there are things that are raising some concerns for me. Based on all these concerns that I mentioned I don’t see them as complete risk-free mint. Keeping these few concerns aside I liked the way they have designed the roadmap and their approach as well.
I would recommend you to take a good look for yourself and then decide if the risk is under your parameters. If you’re WL you may find an opportunity to trade your tokens in the secondary marketplace which will give you risk-less profits. If you’re not WL and you really want to mint the project I would recommend taking an eye on the token market and looking for an opportunity to buy a token when at least 50% of the tokens are distributed to get a fair price. Also, in my opinion, you might get an opportunity to snipe some good rank shibas at a price that will be equal to the cost of mint and the cost of buying a token more or less but the risk will be comparatively less than as you can analyze the demand there.
Don’t let FOMO overpower you because there will be some great opportunities coming in the next week.
