Alright frens, I thought I would not be posting any analysis till 30th March because of the slow days but then I remembered Project Hive is on 28th. One of the most anticipated mints of this month.

Let’s dive into them:

Supply: 7000

Cost: 2 SOL (WL)/2.5 SOL(PUBLIC)

Time: 5 pm UTC (WL1)/ 6 pm UTC (WL2)/ 7 pm UTC (Public)

Yeah so till now in march we had launches of projects with big contacts (Astrals) we had metaverse projects (Aiternate/Tenjin), we had projects with some of the best communities (Cets on Creck), we had some innovation in the space (Atadia/Blocksmith) and we got some degen plays as well (Mongmons.. yeah I missed them) but one thing was missing and that was a full-fledged play to earn “Gaming Project” with the “GAME” coming in the future.

So with this harmless taunt, you know that Project Hive is a gaming project with a game promised in the future. But this is not everything that I have found about them, trust me there are some great things in the bag. Let's count them…

Upsides:-

  1. The GAME: From the looks of it, it is not that regular p2e RPG game that is being promised by every other project nowadays. Reading their whitepaper it is pretty clear to me that they are seriously building something. They have more details about the gameplay than some projects have in their roadmap. The one thing that I liked the most is how engaging this game can be. For instance, the idea behind the game is clan wars where players will be a part of a particular clan and they will fight other clans, now in order to do well in these fights, players might need some upgrades and these upgrades are going to be tokenized NFT assets that will be tradable. Apart from that, they are going to allow other artists not associated with the team to actually create content and it into the game which will then go for a vote, and if selected the artist will be rewarded.
  2. TEAM: Now the most important thing, because if it’s not a good team then what’s the point. I have been into a couple of AMA’s related to the project and trust me when I say this- They have big connections who know how to make a game and they have managed to onboard big players as partners including Big Brain Holdings. Their team is of 30 Members (that is certainly not a small number) and they have team members who have created some exceptional stuff for Netflix, Marvels, and for games like Cyberpunks.
  3. Utility: These guys are clever because they have announced some utilities for all those who will mint their NFT on the 28th of March.

a.) Staking- So everyone who mints the NFT will get an option to stake it in order to gain their governance token “IGT”. The rarer the NFT the more IGT you will earn. Later this token will come in handy in the game.

b.) Whitelist- The holders of Project Hive will get a guaranteed whitelist in CyberConstructs ( the playable NFT Character). Now, these characters will be limited in numbers so new players in the future will have to either purchase them or rent them from old players.

c.) IDO- Yeah they are coming with an IDO in the month of April, so the NFT Holders will get a guaranteed spot in that IDO as well.

4. Engagement: These guys have managed to create some good hype around the project. The discord community is active as well, they are getting an average of 300–600 reactions per post. They have also managed to get on 10 AMAs with some really good personalities in the NFT Space.

Things to take care about:

  1. First thing First I do not like the fact that there are different mint costs for WL and non-WL peeps for a project with such a good supply. Also, the WL peeps can mint 2 NFTs for 0.5 sol less than public per NFT, with so many WL and an opportunity to mint for less, the floor will not take time to actually tank on secondary.
  2. The sentiment of the NFT space is really bullish right now, people have been degening into every other mint for some quick profits and if they don't get their quick profits they move on to the other.
  3. However, there have been some dry days in the space and with this bullish sentiment around they are looking to press that mint button so eagerly that a project like this won’t go unnoticed. If you have been here in the space for a couple of months you know what I am saying…

To conclude, in my opinion, it is not a risky play if you see it as a long-term project that delivers value over time. The team as I mentioned is great who knows what to build and how to build. They have learned from the mistakes of other gaming projects who came into Solana and actually designed utilities for holders just after the mint which will not make the holders restless.

Also, I will be monitoring the demand myself but I find them as a good secondary play because there will be papers who will unload their rares for cheaper prices (rarity matters).

I would suggest you look at the members they have onboard and also get an idea about what they are building, If you think this might be something big, then minting the project and getting a confirmed spot in the IDO will bring some great gains.

As always DYOR.
